I like one of the designs in the gallery but would like to use a different ink, typeface, paper, or image. Is that OK?
Absolutely. Every order includes up to one hour of custom design work for every $250 spent on printing. That's generally plenty of time to customize one of our gallery styles to suit your occasion.

I have an image that I want to use on my invitations. Can I incorporate it into one of your designs?
Yes. If you own the rights to the image and it's in a format that's letterpress-friendly, there's no charge to incorporate your image. If it's in a not-so-friendly format, we can let you know what options you have for adapting the image.

The best format is a vector-based image. The second best is a high resolution bitmap image (such as TIFF).

If you're not sure, just ask.
I've designed my own invitations. Can you print them? What file format should the design be in?
Yes. The best format is a vector-based file with all fonts outlined. The second best is a high resolution bitmap image (such as TIFF).

Can you design a custom image or entire invitation for me? What do you charge?
Yes we can. Let us know what you're thinking and we'll give an estimate of the number of hours we'll need to spend. We provide up to one hour of free custom design work for every $250 you spend on printing. After that, we bill $60 per hour.

Our custom design process is great -- you can view the design in progress on your own personalized web page and give us feedback. If you're thinking of having an invitation or announcement package designed from scratch, be sure to allow several weeks for the design process.
What suggestions do you have for someone on a budget?
There are several things that can help make letterpress invitations more affordable. Here are a few ideas:
  • Print in one ink color. If you're set on a two-color invitation, consider printing your enclosures in just one color.
  • Use a one-sided reply postcard instead of a reply card and envelope. Or, skip the reply card altogether and include your rsvp info on the invitation.
  • Skip the reception card. It's very common to include reception info on the invitation.
  • Provide your own press-ready artwork. If you can convince your graphic-desiger friend to lay out your set in a nice press-ready format, we'll discount your order by 15% [ more about press-ready artwork ].

I found paper that I'd like to use. Can you print on it?
Probably. Contact us and let us know as many details as you have regarding the paper. There's a good chance we can buy it directly and if not, we'll let you know how much we'd need you to send us.
There's a font that I like but I don't know what it's called. Do you?
Probably. Email us a clipping of the text or give us a link to where you found it. There's a good chance we can identify it and incorporate it into your design at no extra charge.
Can you print on both sides of a sheet?
Yes. Two-sided printing is charged as an additional ink color. When printing on two sides, we use a somewhat lighter impression so as not to obscure the printing on the opposite side.
Do you offer rounded corners?
Yes... and we're currently offering them for free!
Do you offer calligraphy?
Yes. We can provide calligraphy for individual guest names and addresses (for envelopes and place cards) as well as for letterpress reproduction. Check out our extras page for more details.
Do you offer envelope liners?
Yes. Envelope liners are available for our PS Collection A7, A1, and 5.75 Square envelopes. Visit our extras page for more details.
Do you provide inner and outer envelope sets?
By default our pricing includes single envelopes; however, double A7 envelopes from our PS collection can be substituted for an additional $0.50 per set.

Double envelopes from our Arturo collection are available as well. Contact us for a quote.
Can you ship my envelopes early so that I can start addressing them?
We can ship any envelopes early that aren't being printed for just the cost of shipping. If we're printing return addresses for you, we can have your envelopes shipped a week early for a $100 fee.
Will you provide extra envelopes in case I make mistakes addressing them?
Yes. We include 10% extra of any envelope that you or your calligrapher will be addressing.
Do you print other sorts of stationery such as place cards, menus, programs, and thank you notes?
Definitely. We can print just about any sort of letterpress stationery you might want for your wedding including folded notes and cards. And we're happy to work with you in designing them to match your invitations.
When do you require payment and what payment methods do you accept?
We require a $120 deposit to begin laying out your order. We then create a personalized web page where we post drafts of your layouts for you to give feedback on. Once you decide on the final layout, we require payment in full (minus the $120 you've already paid) to begin printing.

We accept checks, money orders, all the usual credit cards, and PayPal. Take a look at our ordering page for more details.
How long will it take to print my order? Can it be rushed?
Once the design is finalized and we've received your payment, we'll have the order ready to ship in 3 weeks or less. Assuming our current workload allows, we can rush the order for an additional fee: 20% extra for a two-week rush or 40% extra for a one-week rush.

Can you ship outside of the US?
Yes. We ship all over the world and can do so at pretty reasonable rates. We can also receive PayPal payments in Euros, Pounds Sterling, Canadian Dollars, Australian Dollars, and Yen.
